End of the year......

Ok now that the scholastic year is over , I'm looking forward to having some holiday time and devoting it to little projects that exist only in my head .

I am looking forward to studying next year , Bachelor of Applied Technology , sounds flash aye ........ all I know is that I started this year not knowing anything about Automotives and internal combustion engine . All I knew how to do was put water in the radiator and oil where the oil goes. Now I've started building my own go kart in my garage at home ....... just a little project but I'm liking my progress.
This year has opened up my heart and my mechanical mind ...... I feel almost invincible ........ but still got a ways to go ........ Still life is beginning to get on track for the first time ever.....

Drawing

Reflect on my drawing session........ hmmmmmmm?

Ok . Well from this mornings session i learnt that any object starts off being a draft from a pen lid to a car engine. Its basically a concept on paper.
And as Sione said "Its a different kind of language" . Universal I guess..... I want to learn more although im a little bit clumsy when it comes drawing a straight line.

Last thursday we went out to the soccer fields in the afternoon.  The guys had a game of soccer and it was a really good way to wind down .
I know my place .... behind a camera   ..... its so much fun to be the record keeper lol.

OK today was cool....... in class we had to reassemble the engines we took apart in the first week..... still not quite finished but i felt like i'd learnt and that was awesome .

I learnt how to make sure the centre of the crank is straight by using a dial indicator, i also learnt how to put the pistons back safely making sure not to damage the rings and that the piston rings shouldnt line up.... the openings should be at least 120 degrees apart.... cool huh?

The thing i enjoy about this course is doing everything electronically, blogging (even though sometimes its hard to find something to write about) ..... Vickel came into our class today and explained the importance of recording everything in our blogs..... I did understand initially but not to that extent..... He also taught me how to use my Blogger properly...... I'm glad im not looking at this in hindsight , its too early in the year for that.....

So the difference between the beginning of this day and the end of this day is what i've learnt and how much  ....... awesome !

At the beginning of this year i was worried that i might not be able to keep up in this course, and i went to lengths to make sure i was organised and prepared for what may lay ahead....... Then I go home and see what work my partner has to do ......... My partner is studying Foundation Studies at the Henderson campus and her workload is like 10 times more intense .... what we've done so far , my partners class has done in a week...... I feel a little jealous because I'm bored.....
